1965

ZIFA Founded

Zimbabwe Football Association established, becoming the governing body for football in the country.

1980

FIFA & CAF Membership

ZIFA joins FIFA and CAF following Zimbabwe's independence, opening doors to international football.

1985

First Major Trophy

Warriors win CECAFA Cup, the first major international trophy for Zimbabwean football.

2000

COSAFA Cup Champions

First COSAFA Cup victory begins a golden era for Zimbabwean football.

2004

AFCON Debut

Warriors qualify for Africa Cup of Nations for the first time, reaching the quarterfinals.

2016

Women's Team Milestone

Mighty Warriors qualify for Africa Women Cup of Nations for the first time.

2023

Digital Transformation

Launch of ZIFA Digital Portal, modernizing football administration and fan engagement.
